These are the types of notifications that you might received from CardSwap:
No active subscription
- The account holder has a login for the merchant, but not an active subscription.
The card on file in CardSwap has already been added by another user
- If a card has already been used with another account, the account holder can't add it to a second account. This notification only occurs for Venmo.
Merchant account verification needed
- The account holder must complete account verification or account security setup for the swap to occur.
Card not accepted
- The account holder can't place the card on file with the merchant for future payments. This notification occurs when several payments are declined in a row.
Payment cannot be saved to a wallet
- The account holder can't add a new payment method to a wallet because it exceeds the maximum number of payment methods.
Merchant account linked to a 3rd party billing service
- The account holder can't swap a payment method linked to a different merchant. For example, if Netflix is configured with iTunes, the payment method on Netflix can't be swapped. However, the payment method on file with iTunes can be swapped, which allows future Netflix bills to be charged to the payment method on file with iTunes.
