Yes, you can add external accounts to transfer funds and to use with our Money Management Tool. The method to add an external account depends on which of these uses you are wanting to add the account for. If you want to add an account for both uses, then you'd have to add the account twice under each method.


Add For Money Management

You can add your other accounts at other banks, credit unions, brokerage firms, mortgage companies, and more using our Money Management tool.


Money Management is a FREE spending tool offered by VeraBank in Online Banking and the Mobile Apps. You can view your VeraBank and non-VeraBank accounts in one place, track spending, set and track goals, create a budget, set up email and text alerts, and more.


To add an account if you're already enrolled in Money Management/Financial Tools:


  1. Login.
  2. Under 'Financial Tools', click on 'Link Account'.
  3. Search for the financial institution where the external account is held.
  4. Enter your login credentials at that financial institution.
  5. Choose the account(s) you want to add.
  6. Choose whether those account should be 'Visible on Home' and/or 'Visible on Financial Tools'. 
  7. Click 'Continue'.
  8. Click 'Done'.


Add For Funds Transfers

You can add an external checking or savings account in order to transfer funds to and from an external account (non-VeraBank account).


To add an account:


  1. Login to Online Banking or the App.
  2. Go to 'Move Money'.
  3. Go to 'Manage External Accounts'.
  4. Enter the routing number and account number of the external US bank account being added. Choose if it is checking or savings and click “Submit”.
  5. A confirmation message will appear, which provides details about the validation process.
    • 2 small micro-deposits will post to the added external account in 2-3 business days.
  6. Once the micro-deposits have appeared in the external account, go back to 'Move Money' > 'Manage External Accounts', and the pending external account will show under 'Manage External account(s)'.
  7. Click the “Verify” link and enter the 2 micro-deposit amounts.
